In our April Producer Letter we indicated our plans for Pre-Alpha 10, and we are happy to share that we are ready to start with the first tests!
To recap, we will run at least two tests: one, which we are calling Pre-Alpha 10, is primarily focused on testing the additional tiered content, and how well that engages players over a longer period of time.
In addition, we’ll be running tests sometime after Pre-Alpha 10 to specifically test the stability and performance of the new server-side software.
We are now close to starting the first of these tests, which will run for a full week. This will be the longest test to date and will let us know if BitCraft already has what it takes to keep people playing beyond the first couple of days.
During the first days, new players can progress in BitCraft completely on their own, but there comes a point where collaboration becomes increasingly beneficial, and a must if players want to tackle more ambitious construction projects.
We are excited to see what testers will come up with, given a bit more time and, of course, we look forward to tester feedback to inform our future game development.
Our current plan is to run the test from May 24, 2023 to May 31, 2023.
We will randomly select a considerable number of testers from the signup list on our Website.
In addition, we will re-invite everyone who has actively played during a previous test. We will also run a small “first come first served” invite event on our Community Discord for an additional chance to join the test.
Thank you, and stay tuned for more!
